The Cosplayer was wearing a gas mask, helmet, armour and bullet belt. He was also carrying a New Republic of California flag.
People thought he had a bomb strapped to his back but it turned out to be several Pringles cans painted silver.

Police were hiding in bushes and behind their cars with long guns drawn. Happened in Grande Prairie, Alberta. (April 14, 2017)

@tipsybeveridge I think that’s possible, and pretty logical. I also think the mask is a metaphor, in the sense that only once the mask has been removed can Type: Null grow. But a heavy weight like that on your head all the time would be pretty constraining, so I can definitely see it having an effect.

I don’t think it’s made of specific Pokemon to be honest. It seems more like it was designed so the different body parts represent different types, to give off the chimeric vibe they were going for. It’d be neat if the body parts were used as inspiration for some Gen 8 Pokemon.
I was going to name off a few Pokemon I felt were kind of represented, but in the end I really think it’d be a stretch for any of them.
I actually think Absol was the base for making Type:Null. They share some visual things. Such as the back legs. The neck fur. Even the tail and head crest are similar to Absols.
